A dream that took another shape

He had always dreamt of being a seafarer to help his family, but RSJ did not know that life had other plans for him. Born and raised in Gloria, Mindoro, he was just like any other boy in their town - playing during the afternoon and walking free-spiritedly to school. Not knowing that as life unfolds, life has its way of turning his dreams into reality and so much more.

Born into a large family as the second of six siblings, he learned responsibility early in life. He witnessed the challenges and sacrifices that came with providing for a big household. From then on, he developed a deep determination to create opportunities that would one day make life easier not only for his family, but for many others as well. This dream became the driving force behind his journey - fueling his ambition, resilience, and commitment to building ventures that uplift lives and create lasting impact.

He still calls himself a carpenter

When asked about his beginnings, he would always say that he started as a carpenter. His eyes are full of gratefulness while he tells the story of his early career. He started working at Asia Renal Care as maintenance personnel and messenger. That was his first eyewitness account of the realities of life and illness. Eager to learn, he would always watch technicians and engineers as they conducted maintenance checks on the reprocessing system. In his mind, he was convinced that one day, he could do this himself.

Medcon Asia, then MediKonstrukt

In 2011, he established Medcon Asia with a vision of advancing reprocessing system innovation nationwide. Through this venture, he introduced solutions centered on efficiency, quality, and sustainability, helping elevate standards within the hemodialysis systems industry while expanding access to modern healthcare support services across the country.

As the business grew, he broadened his horizons and ventured into construction and infrastructure, leading to the creation of MediKonstrukt, the construction arm of his fast expanding enterprise. With a strong focus on innovation, specialized construction, and water waste management solutions, the company further strengthened its commitment to building sustainable systems that support both healthcare and industry development. It ventured into hemodialysis centers, diagnostic clinics, and eventually, into a few personal residential clients.

With over 13 years of executive experience, RSJ has successfully guided organizations through periods of rapid growth, while fostering a culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and performance. Under his stewardship, his companies have achieved milestones in customer satisfaction, employee development, and quality management standards - including internationally recognized certifications such as ISO 9001:2015.

TresMedica, born at the peak of a pandemic

At the peak of the pandemic, RSJ, together with a few good friends, started a medical supplies business, TresMedica Trading. Initially, TresMedica served as a medical supplies company and then eventually expanded to One Dialysis Center, TresRx Pharmacy, and TresLab. This is true to the TresMedica vision - to create an ecosystem of integrated healthcare redefining the landscape of the Philippine healthcare system.

Relationships that outlast the deal

RSJ is known for his ability to build strong and lasting relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders. Through trust, integrity, and a people-centered approach, he has consistently inspired loyalty and driven long-term success across every venture he leads.

Currently, as President of Medcon Asia and MediKonstrukt, he oversees a workforce of 270 employees, while also serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors at TresMedica, where he leads an additional 180 employees to date.

Beyond the titles

Beyond titles and achievements, the vision of RSJ is rooted in making quality healthcare more accessible and sustainable - even in the farthest and most underserved communities in the country. Through his work in dialysis centers, pharmaceutical services, laboratory solutions, medical supplies, construction, and wastewater management, he continues to champion innovation across both the healthcare and construction sectors.

Despite his many accomplishments, RSJ remains deeply humble and grounded. In everyday life, he is above all a devoted father to his children. Sundays are reserved for his weekly market visits and his passion for cooking. He is a caring life partner, an honest business ally, and a dependable friend who can always be counted on.
